Recycling matters
Recycling makes a real difference in protecting the environment.
Our toilet tissue paper

Velvet toilet tissue is made from paper that comes from well-managed forests, accredited
by the Forest Stewardship Council. The FSC ‘stamp’ on our packaging offers shoppers
the reassurance that all wood and paper fibres used to make Velvet products comes
only from well-managed forests.
FSC supports the conservation of forests and helps people lead better lives. For
more information about the FSC, visit www.fsc.org
Our toilet tissue tubes
The tubes vary between 75 and 100 percent recycled fibre and can be recycled with
your other general paper and card.
Our packaging

Velvet’s polythene packaging (poly) is recyclable where facilities exist. Although these recycling facilities are increasing across the UK, not all local authorities provide them as yet, however poly can also be recycled at recycling centres or at supermarkets which offer recycling facilities for plastic carrier bags. For those consumers who do not have access to recycling facilities for their poly, we offer the facility for them to return their poly to us and we will have it recycled on their behalf.
The Low Density Polythene material is a form of plastic and is non-biodegradable.
Not all local authorities allow polythene to be recycled with normal recyclable
plastics. However, It can be recycled at recycling centres or at supermarkets which
offer recycling facilities for plastic carrier bags.
