Trees for Cities Projects

Be TREEmendous – Come and join us planting trees in Leeds!

We are delighted to announce that the third tree plant in our Be TREEmendous with Velvet campaign will be held in Temple Newsam Park, Leeds on Friday 4th December.

Trees are a vital part of our lives which provide colour everywhere, including developed inner city areas and the countryside. We at Velvet know how important it is that we continue to plant trees – both abroad and at home where they can help local communities the most. That’s why, following previous successful planting days in Chorlton, Manchester and Wrose, Bradford, we have a new project underway in Leeds. With the help of Trees for Cities, local schools, Leeds City Council and volunteers from the local community we will begin planting ten thousand trees in a large part of Temple Newsam Park, overlooking the city. Join us for the ‘Be TREEmendous with Velvet’ tree plant in Temple Newsam Park, Leeds on 4th December. Planting starts at 10.00am and continues until 1pm. Please note that the planting day will be photographed for social media purposes and the local media will also be attending. The weather in December can be temperamental so make sure you wrap up warm and keep fingers crossed that it doesn’t snow!
