Quilted Velvet blossoms at this year’s top flower shows
We’re delighted that our third Quilted Velvet Garden at Tatton Park created by top garden designer Tony Smith, wowed the public - and the RHS judges - and was awarded a gold medal. Everything in the garden was sourced in the UK and recycled after the show. This reflects our commitment to the environment and builds upon our ‘3 Trees’ message where we ensure that we replant three trees for every one we use.
Tony says: “Three Quilted Velvet show gardens in one summer! It did seem like a tall order back in the autumn of 2008 and believe me it has been extremely hard work. However it’s been a fantastic experience and great to end with a gold at Tatton Park.”

RHS Hampton Court Palace Flower Show GOLD medal
Purple heather snaked through an incredible forest of 30,000 miniature oak trees. The imposing green oak structures symbolised how we protect and manage our forests.
RHS Chelsea Flower Show SILVER medal
Classed as “one of the most provocative and mould-breaking gardens at Chelsea this year”. It featured a sunken bed of pink Busy Lizzies backed by purple slate walls with three Cypress trees and one behind highlighting our ‘three trees planted for every one’ message.
