Karate kids are a big hit with us

We’re getting a big kick out of sponsoring Romiley Karate, a popular club in Stockport. The club is special because children of all ages, abilities and backgrounds are encouraged to take part. Incredibly, some as young as ten have achieved the coveted Black Belt!

With our funding, the club is going to purchase more safety mats and training aids such as punch and kick bags, plus some foam practice weapons.

Karate is a great sport because it teaches respect for yourself and others. The kids keep fit, make new friends and, of course, learn worthwhile self-defence techniques. At Romiley Karate, there is also a strong emphasis on developing the children’s social skills (like good manners) confidence and self-discipline.
