The Quilted Velvet garden

We our proud to have won a Gold medal for our unique Quilted Velvet garden at this year’s Hampton Court Palace Flower Show.

Top garden designer, Tony Smith, created it to showcase our ‘Three Trees’ message that ensures we replant three trees for every one we use. Tony said: “I’m thrilled to have won this gold medal for Quilted Velvet! It has been commented on as one of the most innovative show gardens this year.”

The stunning design featured a forest of 30,000 miniature oak trees, with tall imposing green oak structures symbolising how we protect and manage our forests. In the centre of the garden, three Blue Cedar trees watch over a horizontal tree trunk, which represents Velvet’s Three Trees message.
